Thanksgiving Day thoughts

It is Thanksgiving Day in the US today but I am not doing anything special for that this year.

My spouse has to stay in his office all day to finish up his joint research project with a university faculty in Japan. The faculty wants it to be completed this weekend. I guess he does not know it is holiday here.

But that is OK. Because I am busy too.

I have to shoot photos of my paintings that I did not do well last week and I have to chop up the logs.
Both of us are busy and both of us are coming down with cold so that it was good idea not having a get-together.
This weekend, our grown children are having fun with their siblings and friends while their parents are living a separate season of their lives.
Sometimes, I feel sad about it, but since there is nothing I can do, I just keep my life busy by setting new goals each day.

In many ways, my life is not ideal nor perfect but there are plenty to be thankful, such as our beautiful land, our cat, and edible plants still out there for us to munch.
After all, happiness is not perfection nor completeness but it is something to notice.

Seasons of our lives:
Create many hues and tints
Balance them with joy.
