What is Karinto Koneko?
Hi, I am Karinto Koneko.
Today, I am starting my third blog.
Third?😅
That is right, the third one.
Insane?!
The reason behind this is becuase of the change in language and the topic.
The last two are about simple life and motherhood in Japanese language.
This one is on contemplation on my life and my art-poem entries in English.
Today, I would like to touch a bit about my blog's title, Karinto Koneko, which reads like Spanish (:all the vowells read as short vowells).
What is it?
For this blog tile, I have decided to use Japanese language since it is my native language. But this may cause confusions to some of you.
So I would like to offer some explanation here.
- Karinto
Karinto is written as: '花林糖' or 'かりんとう'.
It is very sweet traditional Japanese snack usually deep fried.
The original karinto is deep-dark brown which neither looks attractive nor that tasty for most of us.
But it is very, very sweet for sure!
But there are varieties these days!
- Koneko
Koneko is written as: '小猫' or 'こねこ', meaning a kitten.
The only difference is one is soft, another crispy!

Therefore, as you know by now, the title means, 'sugar cookie kitten'.
Subject Matter
So......my blog title is about cat.
Why?
Because I love cat. That's all.
Other than I am intrigued by the cat's outworldly demeanor and its implication, there is no other conceptural background or visual phylosophy, but sheer feeling of affection towards cats (at least now).
Because of it, painting them makes me smile and fills my heart with joy whole time while painting.
In addtion, I think my personality is like cat, which means I am bit selfish (for time to time), I love solitude, and I "look (only the looks)" contemplating all the time.
That is why my blog is 'Karinto Koneko.'
What I am going to write about
I am going to write about mainly my personal life, art and creativity along with poem but sometimes about cats (definitely)!
Oh yes, I can write about Japan where I originally come from and maybe a bit about the language.
Having said this, I should still stick with art most of the time, who knows where this endeavor takes me to......
